Hostile Takeover Rewards and Requirements

Listed below are the rewards and level requirements for completing the Hostile Takeover Mission Objectives.

• Suggested Level: Lvl 12

• Rewards: $935, 3,961 XP, and the ability to equip Class Mods.

Hostile Takeover Walkthrough

Talk to Ellie

Speak with Ellie and she will require you to head down to Promethea by using the Drop Pod.

Use the Drop Pod

Once you are in Promethea's orbit, make your way to the Cargo Bay and use the Drop Pod to head to the Meridian Outskirts.

Answer the Distress Call

Once you reach the ground, you will encounter a distress call. Head to the location of the distress call, taking out any enemies along the way.

Talk to Lorelei & Contact Rhys

As you reach the marker, you will be introduced to Lorelei, who will explain the situation and mention that she needs to talk to Rhys, the CEO of the Atlas Corporation.

Follow Lorelei & Talk to Lorelei

Follow Lorelei inside the building and speak to her again once you are ready to continue with the mission.

Digistruct a Vehicle

Use the Catch-a-Ride system to spawn a vehicle that can be driven.

Travel through the Meridian Spillways

With your vehicle, follow the on waypoint marker and travel through the Meridian Spillways.

Destroy a Hover Wheel Technical and Pick Up the ECHO Log

As you are travelling through the area, you'll encounter a Hover Wheel. Take out the Hover Wheel and pick up the ECHO Log that it drops.

Travel Through the Meridian Spillways

With the ECHO Log picked up, continue through the spillways and follow the objective waypoint markers to her base.

Follow Lorelei

Once you reach Lorelei's base, follow her as she talks you through the situation with the Maliwan soldiers. When you are ready to continue, talk to Lorelei to continue with the mission.

Defend the Civilians

While speaking with Lorelei, you'll encounter a group of Maliwan soldiers that have broken through the base and are attacking the innocent civilians.

Liberate the Watershed Base

With the soldiers defeated, continue to follow the onscreen markers and make your way to the Meridian Metroplex.

Once you have reached the Meridian Metroplex, make your way through the tunnel, taking out all of the Maliwan soldiers as you head towards the Watershed Base. Be sure to take cover along the way, as these soldiers can hit harder than you expect.

Open the Base Door

Now that the area has been cleared of all the Maliwan soldiers, open the base by pressing the small button next to the door.

Kill the Maliwan Pyros

Upon opening the door, you’ll find that two Maliwan Pyros occupy the area, take them out before you can continue.

Contact Rhys

With the area finally cleared, head to the central console in the area and contact Rhys, who is currently in Atlas HQ.

Talk to Lorelei

After speaking with Rhys, talk to Lorelei who will give you one of the Cyclone vehicles that we collected data on earlier.

Digistruct a Vehicle

Construct the new Cyclone vehicle via the Catch-a-Ride station.

Find the Atlas Operative

With your new vehicle, follow the waypoint marker to find the Atlas Operative.

Secure the Maliwan Weapons Depot

Along the way, you’ll encounter yet another Maliwan camp of soldiers, simply bypass the soldiers and head straight towards the waypoint marker to find the Atlas Operative at the bottom of the staircase.

Defeat the Maliwan Security Bots

Follow Zer0 and watch as more Maliwan security bots begin to spawn in the area - take them out with Zer0’s help.

Lower the Security Field

With the security bots dealt with, head up to the second floor and interact with the indicated security field to lower it.

Defend the Maliwan Counterattack

As you lower the security field, several more Maliwan bots will attempt a counterattack. Take them all out in order to continue.

Loot the Weapons Depot

With all enemies defeated, head to the second floor and look for the weapons depot. Loot the room and jump down the hole in order to reach the depot.

Pick Up the Holoblade Upgrade

Following the onscreen marker, pick up the Holoblade upgrade.

Take the Gun from Zer0 and Give Zer0 the Holoblade Upgrade

With the Holoblade in hand, make a deal with Zer0 and swap the Holoblade for the upgraded weapon.

Meet Zer0 at the Halcyon Spaceport

Once the cutscene has finished, Meet Zer0 at the Halcyon Spaceport in order to take out Gigamind, who is stealing valuable information.

Kill Gigamind

To defeat Gigamind, you are going to need to get as close as possible and wield the highest DPS weapon you have available - preferably an Assault Rifle, Shotgun, or SMG.

As soon as Gigamind activates the shield in front of him, deal as much damage as possible into his back and head. It's essential to always stay behind him, as this will limit the damage he can deal to you.

Take Gigamind’s Gigabrain

Pick up Gigamind's Gigabrain off the ground.

Return to the Watershed Base and Contact Rhys

Having taken care of Gigamind, return to the Watershed Base. Once you arrive, use the central console one again to contact Rhys.

Insert the Gigabrain into the Gigareader

Complete the mission by inserting the Gigabrain into the Gigareader at the central console.
