Sydney Sweeney Laughed Off Bowen Yang's Concerns Of Making Her Feel Uncomfortable On SNL, Reminding Him She's On Euphoria
Bowen Yang was on Stephen Colbert's Late Show, along with Nick Cave. It was a stacked show with several reveals fans didn't know about. Stephen Colbert asked Yang in particular about his most awkward SNL moment throughout the years. Yang revealed that one of them took place recently off-camera during a moment alongside host Sydney Sweeney. Yang tried to take precautions with Sweeney given that the skit was an intimate one. However, Sweeney wasn't bothered in the slightest, and gave Yang a reminder of her past work.
Yang recalls, "One of the weirdest was something I only have myself to blame for. I was seducing Sydney Sweeney. She's such a good and committed actor that she made me believe she was in love with me. We shot a love scene together. So I went down to talk to her and I said, 'Hey, if at any point you're uncomfortable, we have an intimacy coordinator. You can tap out any time if you're not feeling it, no problem."
Sweeney's reaction, "She touches my shoulder and goes, 'Bowen, I'm on Euphoria.'"
"Her parting shot was, you're living every gay man's dream right now. I was like, oh, she knows she has all men on lock."
Bowen Yang has been with SNL since 2018.

Stephen Colbert's Guest Wisely Canceled At The Last Minute, Avoiding A Question From The Host That Would Have Sunk His Career
Stephen Colbert had plans of bringing up a controversial topic with his now canceled guest.
As for Sweeney's thoughts on her SNL cameo, she admits the gig scared her, but it was all worth it in the end. “I knew I would be terrified. I wanted to do it. I think it’s important to do things that scare you,” she said. “The whole entire SNL experience, it was a challenge, it was terrifying.”
Despite the nervousness, Sweeney was among the better guest hosts of the season.
Bowen Yang Made Another Major SNL Reveal On Watch What Happens Live
Bowen Yang made another stop prior to the Late Show, this time on Watch What Happens Live. Speaking with Andy Cohen, Yang was asked about the worst behavior on SNL. Without naming names, Yang stated a certain host made multiple cast members cry behind the scenes. “This man, this person, this host made multiple cast members cry on Wednesday before the table read because he hated the ideas."
Yang was also asked about his worst SNL skit, and linked The Bear's Ayo Edebiri.
“When Ayo Edebiri hosted this past season, we wrote a live sketch where it took place in an elevator, and she and I were, like, telling everyone that we should all make out or something because the elevator got stuck,” he recalled. “Then, for some reason, it got turned into a pre-tape under our noses, and we had to adapt to that… It just didn’t go as well as I had hoped.”
Yang concludes, “And you just deal with it. Comedy’s subjective, you never know how it’s gonna play in front of a specific audience. But it’s fine, you let it roll off your back.”
The 50th season of SNL starts September 28th on NBC.
