Great casino with easy access to the hotel and shopping outlets. Convenient parking garage that has free parking. Friendly and efficient staff. Decent ventilation with how much smoking is done in there. They have non smoking sections but it’s really just a large open space between the two.

The table suddenly became very busy, and the dealer kept blowing cards, but they changed 4 dealers within 10 minutes. The staff called a few people to look at it, and said it was very strange, as if we were cheating. , they said they were going to close this desk and they were going to get off work. No way, the rules of the game are theirs. The next day, I went to the same table and kept losing. The dealer kept getting 20 and 21 points. I asked the staff when the table would be closed today. The dealer told me that in addition to changing the cards, the table would be replaced with new cards. , will not be closed. Yes, shameless behavior can only make you lose, not win. When you are lucky, they keep changing people to deal cards, or close the table directly. There is no justice at all... don't go gambling in this place, their behavior is so bad

Bush league services and amenities. Unhealthy conditions and clown shoes service. It is clear there has been a recent management change for the worse. Our stay started with the front desk being unable to locate our reservation. Despite it being made months ahead of time. Next my coworker discovered that our shower would not drain. When maintenance arrived they pulled 3 hair extensions worth of hair out of the drain. They have done away with complimentary breakfast (which my coworker would not stop complaining about for our week long stay), the attached restaurants are over priced. One night I ordered medium steak, at "market price", and received a brunt piece of charcoal that was no where near worth what I had paid for the meal.Next security saw fit to give my company vehicle a "parking warning" threatening to boot or tow it. With no explanation for the warning. The vehicle was legally and parked in a valid area. No signage, no markings, no attempt to contact me. When I contacted them, they admitted that the warning should not have been issued. It never occurred to them that the vehicle was parked for more than 24 hours, because the guests were staying for longer than 24 hours. All these above mentioned things are annoying but what is unforgivable is my coworker and I both observed the house keeping staff clean our room one day. The house keeper took the reusable glasses and coffee mugs, washed them in the room's sink without soap, and replaced them. There were no new glasses or mugs on her cart, so this must be a standard thing for this staff.Dog feces located everywhere in the landscaping and parking lot. The room does not have a microwave and the refrigerator barely cools drinks at the max setting. The computers in the "business center" in the lobby are running illegitimate copies of Windows, the styling of the rooms and public areas are clearly cheap and tacky. The free wifi is open, public, and not in the least bit secure. It is clear the powers that be are cutting corners where ever possible. In short, anyone staying here should not expect the most basic level of customer service and expectations to be met. For the cost of the room alone, I would expect NONE of these issues, let alone one of them to be experienced during a week long stay. The only people that have any idea of what they are doing is the polite and professional maintenance staff. But that is not enough for me to reserve a room here next time.

Too large, its kind of overwhelming. More maps would be helpful. Sure i got the Simon app, but that was after getting lost and over hearing someone talk about the app.Would also have preferred more variety and diversity in their food court choices.Still, it's a great mall. Awesome for walks!

Fantastic mall. One of the best in the country. Great selection of stores you can't find elsewhere super close by like Uniqlo and Doc Martens and a really great selection of restaurants actually. It's very clean and fun to walk around. It was a little cold inside so definitely bring a jacket.

One of the best malls I’ve been to!! You have something for every mood. Many options to eat/drink, variety of stores to shop. Most stores had cool discounts. We went before Christmas and the decor was so stunning! We took picture with santa! Pretty crowded but a lot of fun. The washrooms had long queues lol. We probably only covered one level and got tired. Lots to walk, explore, shop, take photos. Definitely worth a visit!

Valley Forge National Historical Park offers trolley and ranger-led walking tours, making it a great destination for history enthusiasts. The park features miles of trails that allow visitors to explore the Schuylkill River and Valley Creek. The River Trail provides stunning views along the Schuylkill, while the Valley Creek Trail showcases the tributary flowing into the river.
Hiking Trail ReviewMount Joy Trail to Mount Misery Trail LoopAbsolutely great trail. The trails are moderately walked by people. Encountered multiple people but all were friendly and respectful. Trail is clean and extremely well marked. Some moderate inclines but I would still label it as a fairly easy trail. Lots of parking lots and spaces along with multiple interlooping trials. Seems very dog friendly as well. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the history. And the scenery. Hard to believe it was built up and brought back to the beautiful area it once was. And it is all free. The amazing hiking trails, I want to go back just to try a few. We were rushed the day we went. The call in info worked well.A few suggestions-there was a tour in the areas we were going for a good part of the day. A suggestion I would have is; let the tour group see the statue, cabins, whatever but then move the talk off to the side so others may enjoy the statue or whatever. It's very hard to see or take pics with lots of people around it. And I would add a pull off spot even for just one vehicle to see the many plagues on stones along the route. There is no way to read or take a pic of them as you drive by. If someone wanted and paid for one of these tributes, people should be able to see them and pay respects. I did learn the park is waiting for an update to all the signs. Some were very faded and unreadable. And a side note since I am unsure who is responsible for the upkeep, especially the Waterman monument, it needs some serious work. I would love to go back one day and spend more time there

Did the self guided encampment tour consisting of 11 stops/ points of historical interest highlighted in the brochure you pick up at the parks entrance. They also have a trolley car($) that will take you to each stop with a guide, providing commentary and answering questions. Interesting view of Revelutionary War times and our country's hard fought strategy for a Democratic government. Lots of walking/hiking trails and a lot of the stops had park Rangers who gladly will answer your questions and give you an interesting commentary about the area. As an aside, I would like to commend our National Park system Rangers as folks who truly enjoy their jobs and pass their enthusiasm on to us visitors. Job well done!!

I love Valley Forge national Park. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid as of late though I’ve been using it to do exercise. I walked the entire park for the first time and it’s such a fantastic site to see the history of how our country started begins here. I highly recommend this park and they have a museum that is second to none with artifactsdialogue and then gift shop, the photos I attached are photos that I had taken. I went off the family trail, which is what I call it which is a trail that is paved and very wide and it’s very good. I just happen to like to go into dirt trails, which they have many of throughout this park and it’s amazing the scenery, you just have to think about when the soldiers were here and their families that you are probably walking on the paths, that they did hundreds of years ago it’s wonderful

Huge area to explore! Learn about and experience some of what the Continental Army went through during the winter/spring of 1777-1778. Transforming from a bunch of ragtag militias to an organized Army, the Valley Forge encampment was a pivotal period of the American Revolution. You can drive, walk, bike, or ride horseback to various areas of the park. I went in January when it was snowing to get a feel of what they experienced.

Blue Mountain is the closest resort to us and we are very grateful for it! This resort has possibly the best snowmaking in the PA area and a very good assortment of trails. The lodges are decent and get the job done. Food options are nice and the views from sidewinder and razors are beautiful. There is a good variety of trails from green bunny slopes up to double blacks. The resort is tucked away but gets packed on weekends. Great for families and beginner to advanced skiers. Don’t expect crazy challenging runs however blue mountain is a must visit!

Blue Mountain Resort is a fantastic winter destination with plenty of activities for all ages. The skiing and snowboarding trails are well-groomed, offering options for beginners and experienced riders alike. The lifts are efficient, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our visit was the tubing area. There are three hills dedicated to tubing, and unlike many other resorts, they were not crowded at all. This meant little to no wait time, allowing us to go down the slopes multiple times without long lines. The runs were fast and exciting, making it a perfect activity for families and groups looking for some winter fun.

Blue Mountain is always a good experience. They have summer and winter activities. Friendly staff and very helpful. Most recently, I went for the snow tubing. It was busy coming in as they have time slots. The last group was going for their last time while the new group came on. It took about 30 mins or so to make it through the line. This was the reason for a 4 instead of 5. After that group left a lot faster to get through the line. The staff did an excellent job a directing and helping people through.

Wonderful experience! We made last minute reservations on New Year’s Eve and the place was incredibly not crowded. We had a 2-hour snow tubing reservation and felt it was plenty of time. There is a conveyor that lifts you to the top, making it easy for any age to participate. There are guides everywhere that are happy to answer questions. They offer s’more’s, food, and a retail shop. We didn’t explore any of those options, but it all looked good! Our 4 year old son cannot stop talking about the experience! We will definitely come here again!

Blue Mountain is an amazing place to learn how to snowboard! I had a fantastic experience there. The instructors were incredibly patient and knowledgeable, which made picking up the basics a breeze. Once I got the hang of it, I had the freedom to hit the slopes on my own. The variety of trails kept things exciting, and I had an absolute blast exploring them. If you're looking for a great place to learn and enjoy snowboarding, Blue Mountain is definitely worth checking out!

Established in 1884, this amusement park boasts hair-raising thrill rides alongside options suitable for children. The park also features a large waterpark with wet and wild attractions. Visitors can enjoy live entertainment, special events, and Planet Snoopy for the little ones.
Nice amusement park. Well rounded collections of roller coasters and flat rides including some rides you can only find here. Clean and well maintained and friendly staff. Quick operations make for short lines and ability to get in lots of rides in a single day. Iron menace is a great addition to the park.
Lucas K — Google review
The park has pretty slow operations on the rides and the food we had at the Burger Barn was absolutely awful. The ride collection is definitely dated but I actually preferred the thrill of the older roller coasters compared to the newer ones. The signage around the park was also very uninformative. I was looking forward to the park, but left at majorly disappointed.

Had a great time as always, but maybe it's better since I go late on Sundays, so there are fewer people. The Halloween theme is awesome. Colors, music, and atmosphere are great. Shows are super cool to watch. Ride lines move pretty quick as well. The only issues I have are the high food and game prices. And the difficulties trying to get to handicap parking. There's no clear path or direction there for us to park closer.

We were very lucky with the weather, it was raining, and it helped to avoid long queues, in general a good park.we have a ride on absolutely all attractions, most of them are intended for public use, without extreme differences, which, in principle, is logical, but In the future, I would like to see more extreme ones.

I haven't visited Dorney Park in years. First time going to the Haunt. It was a fun experience but needs some improvement. The opening Scareamony was a big letdown. We were expecting a cool grandentry of all the ghouls but instead just got a singing and dancing stage show. The first maze we walked through was Nercropolis, which was not scary at all. My personal favorites were Ghost in the Machine and Tourist Trap. The wait times for coasters were incredibly long. Water and food are ridiculously expensive. The staff were great, super friendly, and helpful that's including the security guards.

This is a smaller park, but offers a pretty wide variety of rides with a nice selection of coasters. I personally would do the water park one day and the theme park one day. The park is well maintained and ride operations were pretty good. All of the food we ate was very good! We did not experience any line jumping or issues in the park. This is our 2nd time here and both times we loved it.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library is a historic estate featuring period rooms with decorative arts and a 60-acre botanical garden. The well-preserved gardens offer a natural and wild yet planned look, showcasing the opulence of the du Pont family. Visitors can tour the mansion, explore the vast grounds, and visit the museum housing items from duPont's collections. A shuttle service is available to transport visitors around the estate, making it convenient to experience all that Winterthur has to offer.
This place is beautiful! There is so much to see from the grounds, to the ponds, the museum, library and the cafe at the visitors center. The stay are beyond nice and very knowledgeable about the history of the estate. The trams are very nice to get around the massive garden. The house (museum) is so beautiful inside. My favorite part was the Koi Ponds. I could have sat there all day. Carina was our driver for the tram and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back at a different time to see the flowers bloom!

Came here on a cold, windy day. The rooms available for viewing were decorated for Christmas. Sadly the cafe closed at 3:30pm as we were looking forward to a hot cup of coffee before our journey home. I would like to return when the gardens are in bloom.
Kris B — Google review
Let me start by saying this place would get five stars if it weren't for the ticket price. I understand that money goes towards keeping the place how it is, but buying a ticket without the house tour should be possible. I say this because going around the garden and hiking should be a separate ticketed attraction. However, taking this matter out, this place is stunning. The gardens are well-preserved, and there is much to explore. You need at least a whole day to see every inch of the place. Use your hiking shoes as you will be doing lots of walking. Yet, there is always the option to take the bus, which will take you around with a narrated tour. The house is the low point of the tour, with little to see - I believe Nemours has a better home. Pass by the gift shop, which holds so many nice things.

While at Winterthur one may enjoy touring the mansion, grounds, and visit the museum. The grounds are vast and there is a shuttle that runs from the Visitor Center to the museum and mansion throughout the day. There is also a shuttle that does a garden tour around the grounds and wooded areas. We enjoyed walking around different areas seeing the flowers in bloom. The Museum & Galleries house many items from duPont's collections. On the self-guided tour of the mansion one will see rooms on the fourth and fifth floors of the nine floor mansion. So pack a picnic and spend the day exploring.

We visited the house and gardens and had the More to Explore tour. It was around 75 min and explored the rest of the house (the standard tour only has access to 2 floors). The standard tour included 2 floors that had interactive components and guides that really made the experience in depth and had some contemporary artists contributing to the beauty of the house. The More to Explore tour was incredibly excellent and our guide Anne was an expert. She made the tour educational and answered all the questions we had on even the smallest object. This tour was completely worth it. We felt so special since we were the only two on the tour and could see duPont’s true collection with the benefit of a guide that could explain the time periods with such depth. The walk around the garden was such a wonderful one and we had fun exploring the grounds and in the Enchanted Forest.

One of the coolest places I've been, ever. We visited in January and it's like visiting another world when you walk into the large conservatories! Definitely worth the entry fee.The grounds outdoors are limited in winter for obvious reasons: no beer garden, no bonsai garden, no fountains, etc. I look forward to coming back in warmer weather.Even in winter there are lots of places to walk and enjoy outdoors: Bell Tower, tree houses, trails, and more. But the incredible part is the conservatories. You are instantly transported to jungles, deserts, tropics, Italy, California, and more. You could spend hours enjoying the indoor conservatories. We ate at the 1906 restaurant, it was a lovely atmosphere! The food was good but not excellent, not as good as I expected for this price point. Nevertheless it was fun to break up the walking with a lunch break in a comfortable place. The 5 stars is for the garden, not the restaurant but I wanted to mention the restaurant here as it was a nice part of the whole experience.

Built in 1950, this is a great park to watch a game! It feels like a real ballpark, well maintained, lots of concessions with an old time feel. Walking by the first base line concessions look and feels like a midway boardwalk.Prices were reasonable. Jumbo hotdogs were tasty! Vendors walk around the stadium selling pretzels, crackerjacks, etc. lots for kids to do - there’s even a pool in the outfield.Walk around inside and you can read the history of the park on the walls. The ballpark is accessible, and everyone is very friendly and accommodating of any special needs. There are parking lots around the ballpark.

What an awesome, wholesome evening we spent at First Energy Stadium watching the Reading Phillies! There were loads of families in attendance. All you had to do was observe the shining eyes of the little kids as they greeted mascots and Star Wars stormtroopers to know that core memories were being made! We chose to stop and eat a hoagie beforehand, as it's important to know that no outside food or beverages are allowed in the stadium. Between every inning there was a game or a contest to occupy. From boy scouts collecting trash, to a man selling 50/50 chances, to food vendors calling to the crowd, there was always something going on.To top it off, they had a fabulous fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July! Great fun, and two tickets were only $24. Go, and bring the kids, you won't regret it!

It was my first time. Embarrassing, because I've lived in Reading on and off throughout my life. I was shocked at the severely overpriced game shirts. 89.00 for an average quality stripped button down. I've found fave football jerseys, authentic NHL for about half that, and the quality is about average. It was very disappointing. Food was priced as expected for a sports arena. Nice place, just severely overpriced with the exception of a game ticket.

The game was great, they bring a lot of energy and great atmosphere. The fireworks after we're amazing and the only thing that would have made it better would have been if they turned off the bright advertisement sign that was in your face while watching them.

The Reading Fightin Phils fight opponents like I fight crime - fiercely. Visited “Baseballtown” USA to see the Fightins (Phillies AA team) play the Portland Flying Seadogs (Red Sox AA team). It was a special night - Batman Night! The entire team wore Batman Jerseys. The crazy hotdog vendor sang take me out to the ballgame in Batman’s voice. Their team store even personalized a BatmanJawn Fightins Jersey just for me. In the team store, I got my picture atop Rodrigo, the ostrich that the “crazy hotdog vendor” rides. One of the many highlights of the night. The stadium is beautiful. Weekend games are especially crowded. If you buy general admission tickets for an evening game, be sure to get there early and sit on the 3rd base side. That will keep the sun from burning your retinas like SupermanJawn. If you don't want to risk your car being hit by a fowl ball, park closer to the main road. The main entrance to the park will spit you out along the first base side. You can travel underneath the Grand strand to get as far as left field. A kiddie swimming pool in right field, brand new event center in center field, and all you can eat buffet in left field - what more could you ask for?Don't miss their MEGAblast fireworks shows, always a hit.Reading PA has had a baseball team since 1883 (before Batman existed) The stadium opened in 1951, and it has been the Phillies affiliate since 1967. Here's to many more years of Fightins baseball in Baseballtown, USA! Go Phils!

So much fun. Good group, 6 of us. Busy day in the store, but amazing how quickly they can get people through. A new shotgun, a backpack for carrying decoys, socks, coffee mug, hats, ammo. A great, fun day.

Okay, first of all, let me start off by explaining that my fiancé and I are our very outdoor enthusiast. We hunt and fish probably year round and yes, I know a lot of you are going to say you can't hunt year round, but that's not true. We're from South Carolina, our deer season opens. August the 15th and doesn't go out until January. The first we keep active game cameras year round in South Carolina, we're allowed to bait year round show when we're not in the woods, we're in the water fishing and this store is almost an outdoorsman's heaven. Very good staff, friendly, eager to help. Hey, we ended up with 2 new credit cards even ha ha. But a very clean, enjoyable atmosphere and the Taxidermist work was unbelievable We could have stayed there for hours and the bronze statue out front was awesome, and I would also like to give a Word of encouragement out to the young woman who helped us Julie. We had an excellent time and would look forward to being back again.God bless and have a blessed egg We had an excellent time and would look forward to being back again. Place is really packed at times. People have a tendency to tumble or bump on each other. Extremely crowded on certain days. Very disorganized at times. Long lines as well. Besides those issues, the employees are respectful, helpful, and understanding. They carry cheap and quality products. Good prices on ammo, hunting equipment, and other merchandise and product. Nobody there starts problems. Huge parking but gets filled pretty quick during certain hour, so be prepared to walk. Easy access for the disabled.

What can I say.....it's Cabelas! I stopped in because it was along my road trip route done to Virginia and because the buddy I was with had never been (shocking I know). Never disappoints! Even if you don't buy anything, it's just a trip being there. I did buy a couple of 5.11 pants for work and we stayed about an hour and a half in the place just looking around.

The Herr's Snack Factory Store is a visitor center that specializes in potato chips and other snacks. The family-owned business has been operating since 1946 and annually decorates their factory with beautiful Christmas lights. Highly recommend visiting to see the display! The chips are also delicious!
Had such a great time at the Herr's Snack Factory Tour! We got to go behind the scenes and see how they make their yummy snacks and even got to try chips hot off the pressThis tour was so fun and informational and only cost $8 per person. Our tour guide Valerie was passionate, informative, and overall wonderful. We also stopped by for the Christmas light drive-thru at night. Totally recommend!

We had such a great time on our tour. George was our tour guide. He was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and his humor made the tour fun. He was so considerate to make sure the small child in the tour group had a good view of the factory. I was very impressed by how much of the waste is reused. From the chips that fall on the floor to the heat that comes off the lines. Very interesting tour. At the end of the tour, George went to the production line and scooped up a bunch of hot potato chips for us to eat. I highly recommend the tour for all ages. We were fortunate to also enjoy driving through their Christmas lights display which is free to the public. The next day we happened to drive by as a load of potatoes were being off-loaded. What a special treat that was to see the tractor trailer lifted and tilted like we learned during the tour. I would give George and the tour a 10 star review if I could.

We visited earlier this week and had a great time. We made online reservations in the morning, got there early and they offered us an earlier tour. Terry, our guide, was excellent. Everyone was very patient and very kind in dealing with my father who is in a wheelchair. (There are disabled parking spots right in front of the store entrance and they took us on an elevator to get to the 2nd floor.) We learned a lot and was very impressed with the founder's history (pick up a free copy of "Chips of Wisdom" just outside the gift shop). We LOVED the samples of hot chips that were served at the end of the tour. Be sure to get some "Oops" products at half price. Definitely worth the long trip from New York City!

Nice and easy tour. We arrived early as advised and were promptly greeted and checked in. Our tour started on time and our guide was great. The tour was well paced and an easy walk. There are some stairs and we do go outside to see other buildings. All of the staff was really friendly. The public spaces were well-kept and clean. Gift shop has enough to choose from and decent prices. The best part is, of course, the warm chips off the line, but it was interesting to see the various products being made. Our party ranged from age 3 to 72 and everyone enjoyed it. The kids never got bored, which was a major plus.

The Herr's Snack Factory Tour is fantastic! I had lots of fun learning how they make their different products such as pretzels, tortilla chips, and potato chips! At the end of the tour, they give the group potato chips hot and fresh off the production line! Additionally, the gift shop has a large variety of flavors of potato chips and other snacks! Would recommend!

We had a wonderful visit! George took us on a 90 minute tour and explained everything very well. My 4 kids loved learning the history of a family business since we own a family business that has spanned 153 years and has a 7th generation of family now working in it. We also loved tasting chips hot off the line! I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

Our tour guide was Terry & Susie; they were great. The tour was very informative and interesting. I thought we get try samples of each snack we saw being freshly produced but it was only the original potato chips. We saw the pretzels, tortilla chips and potato chips. They showed us the packaging process as well. They definitely need water stations for guests. I went with family here for my bday and my sis mentioned to one of the staff at the gift shop that it was my bday and was told i can grab one thing and it’ll be free. We drove 2 hrs away to get here. I wish they were open on some weekends. I had to take off from work just so I can visit. Tickets get sold out fast since its only 15 person limit per timed slot. Also, I thought all the chips sold were all at a discounted prices but it was regular prices.

Great experience! We went many years ago and it was a good experience all over again. Although the first two areas wasn’t working, the corn chips and pretzels. It was a disappointment to not be able to see it in the moment. However, they did have a close up video that showed and explained the process. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable when questions were asked. He was an older gentleman who use to work or was a manger at a food market. He did great and went in details to explain when the two first areas wasn’t working at the time. Great tour all the way and the fresh hot chips are the best!!!

Looking for a spot to launch your boat? A spot to picnic? A walkway to stroll with your family? A place of both historic & natural beauty? The Promenade is that place. You can avail yourself of the restroom facilities, the deli style restaurant and the pavilions at the harbor. A stroll will take you to the lighthouse. Top all this off with a wide range of shops and places to eat nearby and you have a place to spend the day or a vacation. Love this place.

Pleasant place to relax. The Susquehanna River and its vast expanse flows alongside as you walk the Promenade. The Promenade is at least a 1/4 mile long. Maybe a 1/2 mile. It's enough to get your walk on.The Promenade is a very cool place and a good use of public space. You will find the historic Concord lighthouse, the historic house of the Lighthouse Keeper, a duck decoy museum, (no never visited), an eatery for a quick bite, a marina, and places along the Promenade where people fish for dinner. There's a pier that juts out into the Susquehanna. People fish there. Another spot where people fish right from shore is located near the eatery.Find this peaceful gem of a place in Havre de Grace, MD just off Rt 40 and down Revolution Road to its end. Make right. See lighthouse to your left.I come for the Nature. The place is a show-off with nature, birdlife and the river with its lapping "baby" waves. Its' a place where you can sit back, relax, take in the view and breath fresh air. Nice! People are friendly, too. -Bill Curtis /New Mark Advertising Specialties

Heritage railroad
Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster, PA offers a nostalgic experience with steam locomotive rides through Amish Country. Couples can enjoy romantic wine and cheese train rides, while families can opt for an escape room experience. The historic railway, operating since 1832, provides a glimpse into the golden age of rail travel with its well-maintained steam-powered locomotives and restored passenger cars.
Fun way to spend the day. Booked tickets for the steam engine train ride. Booked first class seats, big comfy chairs that swivel. About a 45 minute ride and for my husband that loves trains, he was living the dream. Lots to see and do! Then drove to Bird in hand farmers market for some sweet treats and lunch.

We bought the tickets for Premium Cars on regular train online, and it’s ~$75 in total. The interior design of the train was pretty old school but beautiful. The train ride was fun with a great view of the landscape. Overall, it’s a nice experience & we would recommend to friends and family.

Such a great experience! The whole train station is breathtaking, especially around the late fall season. It's like a little old town. The trains are clean. We appreciated the guide and one of the conductors came onto our train and shared some additional info with us. Everyone was so friendly!
Rebecca S — Google review
I wanted to share my experiences on Google with customers and potential customers. There is a lot of history at the Strasburg Rail Road. It's the oldest operating short-line railroad in the United States. Because it's also located in Lancaster County, they get an influx of tourists on an annual basis which greatly helps this for-profit company. The employees are paid, as this is not a volunteer operation. They also operate a maintenance shop which is one of the best in the business in my opinion. They restore and work on historical equipment. The Amazing and Good:The ride itself is about 9 miles through the Lancaster County countryside. At the end of the line you might get to see an Amtrak train! There is dialogue during the ride. One of the conductors shares some history during the ride which I always have loved. Some even throw in some jokes which many riders tend to love. For a short time a couple years ago, they used a pre recorded track instead which was overly fake and too "Disney" like for a historic Lancaster railroad company. Thank goodness they no longer use it. Some of the staff are very approachable (especially the Red Hats, the railroad station porter) and you can easily ask them questions. They will gladly do their best to answer them. If you have a small child, staff will interact with them and make it as memorable for you and your family as much as they can. Speaking of children, they have a small playground on property and also a picnic grove where you can get off at during the train ride during the summer months. It's a great place to see passing trains when two are running at one time. You can also get off there and take a short walk over to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. They have special events throughout the year such as Day Out with Thomas, Easter trains, Christmas trains, Halloween specials, and so much more. The company brought historic Norfolk and Western 611 steam locomotive to their facility in the past which was a blast to experience. Their store on site offers an impressive amount of tshirts and historical train books. If you ever get a chance to take a tour of their mechanical shop, please do. You never know what you might see there. Highly recommend it!The bad or what needs improvement:The checkin process can be lengthy, especially in the summer on weekends. I highly recommend getting there early so you don't miss your train (the company does a good job reminding the customer this on their receipt). During the summer months, it may be difficult finding a parking spot in their parking lot. Some of the staff on payroll for this organization seem to really dislike their job and can be miserable. Some also tend to degrade customers, have an ego, and think they are know-it-alls, and some don't like hearing other people's opinions. Turnover the last handful of years seems to be pretty high and the company has been though multiple CEOs for whatever reason. Some staff also don't enjoy hearing recommendations or thoughts from customers if the customers are trying to share ideas for a better overall experience. If you contact the company via their email or website, there are times they never get back to you with answers to your questions which is poor customer service. Cafe 1832 a handful of years ago went through an impressive renovation and started to offer better food and more creative options; however, that has changed back to basic mediocre food options again.Overall, I recommend this business in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They do a great job with many things, but are not immune to areas that need some improvement. Their special events are unique and a lot of fun. If you are looking for additional railroads to check out in eastern Pennsylvania, I encourage you to check out the WK&S Railroad which is all volunteers. Thank you for reading my review of the Strasburg Rail Road, and I hope you will enjoy this historic railroad.
Derek S — Google review
It's the oldest continuous running train in North America! It's also a steam engine! It runs through the very scenic Lancaster County in Pennsylvania - Amish country. Be careful of the horse and buggies - they're very common on the roads in the area. You can book first class tickets (very comfortable swivel seats), the dining car where you can enjoy a meal on board, and coach if you want just basic accommodations during your ride. The museum is right across the street, and there are several shops and a restaurant right at the station.
Barry R — Google review
What a great way to spend some relaxing time! The trip has a tour guide broadcasting over the PA with plenty of tidbits about railroad history, Lancaster County, and the Amish. The staff were friendly and very courteous. The station has a café, bathrooms, and gift shop, along with plenty of on-site parking. Highly recommend!
Mark S — Google review
What a fantastic experience. I remember riding the train as a child and had the opportunity to bring my grandchildren for the same experience 40+ years later. If you’re in the area, don’t miss up the opportunity to take a ride on this historic train with the most amazing views of Amish country.
Sidney G — Google review
This was a fun train ride experience. We enjoyed the scenery. After we missed the first train they accommodated us and got us on the next available. They gave a partial refund too. The staff was kind and helpful too. There’s some nice stores and a museum in the area to go to while you wait for a train. The trains leave promptly so account to get there 30 mins early. We got stuck behind a lot of Amish buggies in the area. If you don’t preorder there may not be any tickets.

I recently had the privilege of attending the production of Daniel, and we were absolutely amazed. The actors' performances were truly captivating, bringing the story to life in a way that left us in awe.The set design, lighting, and sound were all of the highest quality, creating an immersive experience that felt unmatched. The panoramic stage was an incredible touch—it really made us feel like we were right in the middle of the action. The attention to detail in the decorations, the use of animals, and the immense amount of work put into the production was evident in every scene. It’s rare to see such a high level of craftsmanship in theater. The way they brought the biblical story to life was remarkable. This production offers a fresh and engaging way to experience these timeless stories, making them feel vibrant and alive. We went and watched Daniel! Wow!!! what an experience!! There is a lot of time and effort that goes into this show. It is phenomenal! The theater was packed, but it was a Saturday. We were blessed to be able to get tickets. Online said sold out, but we called, and they had a few tickets available. My 8 year old loved it! He was enthralled the whole time! We had an aisle seat, and soldiers and animals came down right next to him on their way up to the stage. We had a great time.

This experience is one of the best experiences that I have ever been to as it pertains to making the Bible come alive. We weren't allowed to take photos, videos or streaming of the actual play due to copyright reasons and it is understandable seeing that the production would love to preserve much of the experience to be viewed in person rather than to cheapen the experience by seeing a low quality video from someone else's phone. Also they tend to sell DVDs of their productions as well so in that regard I have to say you literally have to see it to experience all the magic that was presented on stage. Here are some photos of the outside and inside before you enter the theatre. All in all an exceptionally well done production I have nothing negative to say not even a little gripe it was all worth the experience.

Absolutely mind-blowing experience. Sight and Sound is right because they have a way of really immersing you in both!! I've been to several on-Broadway productions, and not only was this every bit as good, it has a panoramic stage that extends past your right and your left and absolutely envelops your senses in the story and the experience. They also use screens with digitally created sets to enhance their sets, and surprisingly, they actually do enhance them! They're very high quality and well made and look amazing. With the incredible and magnificent set designs, Broadway-level voices, panoramic stage, actors and animals and props in the aisles and air, and high quality screen usage, it is truly an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Went for the first time with 3 adults and 4 kids and had a blast- kids ranging from 4 years old to 12 years old and there was something for everyone. Parking (even in the non-preferred) was very close to the entrance still and easy to navigate in and out of- although a little pricey in my opinion $20. The wait times on the rides were very reasonable and there is a great variety to choose from. At one point they even had a dance party with the dragon and princesses in costumes and a bubble machine! Although a lot of the concession stands sold your typical pretzels/ dippin dots/popcorn we did find some good spots (I’ll review those separately) but my fave was the pretzel at Penley’s Pub! I also liked how they scanned adults IDs and only allowed 4 alcoholic drinks per ID, no obnoxious drunks at the park that is geared to kids! We also had a baby with us that nurses and the nursing facility for moms was GREAT, very clean, had AC (nice break from outside), a changing station and two rooms with rocking chairs to nurse your baby! I was very impressed with the park overall and it was a nice way to spend the day!

Great place for young kids, better than six flags if you ask me. Many rides, we didn't even have time to get on all of them, decent food inside, really a fun day for kids. The water park was packed, more packed than the rest of the park, and ride lines, probably 10 min wait, which is bearable. Totally recommend!

I took my 5yo and 2 1/2yo there in early July. We had such a wonderful experience that I know we would come back some day.First as a busy family, I appreciated the fact that we can use our ticket any day within the year. We had a last minute travel plan changes and we couldn't go to the park the day we wanted to.Varieties - we have been to three other parks before but this takes the gold as to the inclusive of age and heights of kids. There is something for every young age. There was also so much to do and the lines were not terribly long, average wait time for us was 15min. Though there was a lot to do, the park wasn't awfully big. That is a good thing for young kids that are not in stroller and parents pushing stroller. We were not too exhausted to go on more rides. The water park was fantastic! Lots of seating area for everyone.

Sometimes online offers discounted price tickets, parking is $22 or $27.50 (opposite to main entrance). Food options inside the park is not so great, I would expect more options considering this as a family park. Plenty ice cream options 😄! Visit is worth the money and is recommended

We are first time zip liners . Me, my husband, 9,7, and 5 year old. We did the 3 zips and obstacles. We had no idea how challenging and high those zips were going to be. We loved it ! Our 5 year old on the other side got very emotional on the last zip but Matthew was very kind and patient with him and he was able to complete the course without anymore tears. We also loved the obstacles. My daughter fell on one of the obstacles and someone got to her quickly and kindly and helped her out. She also then wanted to keep going and she completed her level. Overall this place was amazing and exceeded all our expectations! We will be back . Thank you to all the wonderful staff also . Everyone was super helpful and kind.

I had an absolute awesome experience! When I told the staff I do obstacle course racing regularly and have done multiple zip lines they let me attack the obstacle course right away alone. It was a blast and there was definitely some complicated ones that slowed me down. The zip lines definitely get the blood pumping and during mid-December they had millions of Christmas lights strong throughout the wooded area which made for some breathtaking views.

Not only are the lights absolutely gorgeous, being very creatively and professionally done, but the staff is friendly and accommodating...and the display is honoring to the true meaning of Christmas, providing stations at which one can pause to read about the true Christmas story from the Bible and learn more about who Christ is. We definitely appreciate this event every year, and every year it gets better! The cafe is terrific too, and a stop at the reptile and amphibian house is always fun, so we highly recommend it all!

We absolutely love Refreshing Mountain. My family and I have visited for their seasonal Homeschool Days in the fall and spring and it is our children’s favorite field trip every year. We just visited to see their Christmas Lights. We did the walking tour and that has now become our favorite Christmas Lights excursion on the season. We will return every year! It was so well done, the lights were breathtaking, and the ability to take an easy hike through the property was perfect with kids in tow.

Very good time. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and very accommodating. Staff definitely put safety first while still being very personable and fun to hang out with. They even took a few pictures of our group of 7 for us!The faculty was very clean and well kept, and the Christmas lights display was spectacular! The 319 Cafe coffee shop has a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from and was a nice place to warm up from the cold air outside.I would definitely recommend to anybody considering a trip there.

Our family visited for the Christmas lights and zip lines. Everyone had a great time and with the reservations it wasn’t overly crowded. They have a snack bar and a walking path lit up as well. This was one of my favorite Christmas lights experiences!

Nestled in the tranquil woodlands of northern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Wolf Sanctuary of PA is a family-owned refuge offering guided tours and special events like Full Moon nights. Spanning over 80 acres, this sanctuary provides a unique opportunity to observe wolves and wolf-dogs in their natural habitat while serving as an educational center for wildlife conservation. Visitors can sign up for guided tours to learn more about these majestic creatures and enjoy the serene surroundings.
My wife and I did the tour yesterday (3/1/2025) and despite the wind, and cooling temps it was a very enjoyable experience. Our guide was a young lady that was very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the wolves. She answered lots of questions (especially from one particular little boy who was quite curious!) The wolves were all beautiful, and looked very healthy! We even got the joy of experiencing them howling!I do plan a return trip to bring the grandkids. I think they would really enjoy it!Definitely recommend!!

This was a truly amazing experience! Melinda was our private tour guide. She was a ray of sunlight with a wealth of knowledge about the sanctuary and all the wolves! There are over 50 wolves and wolf dogs with their own unique personalities. The sanctuary is well kept and the wolves are all well taken care of and happy. All the good work being done is remarkable and we thank each and everyone for all they are doing. We highly recommend supporting the sanctuary and visiting these amazing animals!

Our son LOVES wolves, so this was a must-do on our list! Booking can be difficult as this place is very popular and sells out quickly. January, the calendar is posted. The first of every month, at 10am, more tours may be added. The guides are all volunteers, so it is based on their availability. I highly recommend a non-summer visit, as that is the best viewing seasons due to heat for the wolves. Our weather today was amazing! There are a total of 54. We chose the private tour, as we wanted the most time and exposure that you will not get with the public tour. Our guide was wonderful, knowledgeable, and full of information! There are some distant enclosures that you cannot see well but most of the enclosures you will walk past in the private tour. Our guide said the public tours are shorter and you don't see as much. We also had our tour just after feeding, which meant most of the wolves were right at the fence line. Our highlight was hearing the wolves howl not once, not twice, but THREE times!! It was the most breathtaking sound!!There are a few enclosures that they ask that you do not stop in front of. Please listen to them. They're volunteers and are there to show you a part of nature you will most likely not see anywhere else. There are reason they have rules. Be respectful. You need to wear good walking shoes as the ground is rocky and there is an incline at several points in the tour. Do not wear flip-flops, sandals, heels, etc., unless you are truly comfortable wearing them in a wooded and rocky area. The tour ends at a small, adorable gift shop. There are portable toilets only. They allow pictures, but not professional. No pets (completely understandable). Please read the do/don't on the website.Overall, the private tour was very informative. The sanctuary does a fantastic job taking care of the wolves, and you can tell they are passionate about what they do!Keep in mind, the Wolf Sanctuary is non-profit and is not eligible for most federal grants. They run on donations, fundraisers, and the tours. While they do make improvements, it's slow. If you've ever been a part of a non-profit, you completely understand. This is a wonderful, family-owned Sanctuary, and they do a tremendous job. Almost every guide and person there is volunteer. Ultimately, they exceeded our expectations. Keep in mind, we did a private tour, not public, so you will have a different experience with a different tour. But, for us, you don't want to pass up this experience. In fact, we plan on making this an annual visit, or every other year. We cannot wait to come back!!!

The tour was very informative and enjoyable. We were delighted to have the opportunity to observe these beautiful animals and learn more about their vital contributions to the ecosystem in the wild. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who appreciates the beauty of these incredible creatures.

The wolves are beautiful and the tour is very interesting and informative!! Kristen was our guide and she was awesome!! Go when it’s colder as the wolves are out and more active. Highly recommend for those that can walk well for about an hour.
Candi K — Google review
Very informative, you really get to see some of the wolves nice and close. my kids (6,9)enjoyed it but my younger child started to get antsy and even my older child started to drift. I think our tour went a bit longer than usual because we had a very enthusiastic tour guide who was lovely. Very fact based, but interspersed with stories of how some wolves came to be there, I very much enjoyed it. The middle and high school kids in the group seemed engaged. Cute little shop at the end. Porta potties available. Good overall and the animals seemed healthy and well cared for.

Planning a visit to the wolf sanctuary with my son has been on my bucket list for years! I was finally able to make the trip to the full moon fundraiser-beaver moon. It was a perfect night with clear sky’s and the brightest moon. I was excited and expecting to see plenty of wolves maybe even some howling at the moon followed by a nice time sitting by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and live music. I spent $148 dollars (4 tickets) to walk down a 15 min path and see maybe about 6 wolves in which 3 were sleeping. The most active wolf was a wolf dog who was previously domesticated. Most areas were restricted and it was too dark to really see anything. I was hoping to at least sit by the fire since it was very cold. Nope! I understand it is weather permitting and I am assuming with all the dry leaves it could be a fire hazard but it would have been nice if that was announced before arriving. We heard there was coffee (to purchase) at the end of the tour being served by a food truck. We waited on line for 20 min and it barely moved. We ended up leaving disappointed. The duration of this tour is listed as 2.5 Hours and the we spent 1 hr in which most of the time was waiting in line to get in (it was pretty crowded) and for coffee we didn’t even get. It was not worth it at all. I am hoping the money I spent on the tickets goes towards the wolves. Anyways maybe going in the daytime where you can actually see the wolves would be a better experience.
Jenny B — Google review
Very informative. The staff are very good at explaining all about the wolves and answering questions. The weather was very hot and humid, so less than ideal. A guide advised that late fall or winter is the best time to see many active wolves. Visitors walk over steep rough ground so be sure to wear good supportive shoes. Also I would not recommend to anyone not physically fit. They only have portable toilets for visitors. Nice gift shop is very small. Water is available along the tour route. The wolves are neutered/spayed,. You will not see any cubs. Highlight of my visit was right at the beginning when all the wolves howled together for several minutes. Lovely sound. Great experience.

The Hershey Story Museum is an engaging and interactive museum that delves into the life of Milton S. Hershey, the man behind one of the world's most famous chocolate brands. Located in the heart of Hershey, Pennsylvania, this family-friendly museum offers a variety of exhibits and collections that showcase Hershey's history, lifestyle, and legacy.
My boyfriend and I stopped here after finding out the Green Day concert was postponed. It's a smaller museum, but very informative. They give you a little token to scan at different displays that gives you information on the exhibit. There are some movies that they have playing as well. They also have chocolate tasting, which we were able to do and making your own chocolate bar, which we were not able to do. They also have some interactive touch screen games and a make your own wraper game.

It was cool. It showed you history, which is educational, but it was on some thing so interesting, chocolate 🍫. It was pretty cool to see how Hershey, PA was formed. The staff there were super nice. I give them a 10/10.

The Hershey Museum provided an engaging and informative experience. I highly recommend a return visit, as the exhibits offer a comprehensive history of chocolate, accompanied by original artifacts and captivating displays. While the museum excels in storytelling and education, it could benefit from incorporating more chocolate tasting opportunities to complement the informative aspects.

Just a biker roaming around and had to kill some time. Spent maybe an hour and half and learned not only about Hershey, but local PA as well. As a solo visitor, may have enjoyed the visit more on a weekday.

We really enjoyed coming here. We did the chocolate tasting, that was fun.The front staff treated me and was friendly, the person at the chocolate tasting was not as friendly.

I thought this place was super cool, Milton Hershey really created an entire community and it stemmed from confections. Kinda funny honestly. The history is rich, and there are plenty of interactive opportunities for the kids as well, it's a great museum, and definitely worth stopping by.

We visited this museum before leaving Hershey. We had such a good day out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The interactive chip was a hit, my kids loved that component. I would love to visit again and listen more intently to all the stories. There was so much to do there, we could've easily spent another hour.

We arrived in Hershey on Saturday for Labor Day weekend. Booking at the Hershey Lodge we recieved complementary tickets to the Gardens and Story Museum. After 3+ hours in the car, our toddler enjoyed being about to run around and play at Hershey Gardens for a few hours and walk around the museum while we waited for our room to be ready! The personalized token for listening to the stories was fun and interactive!

Hersheypark is a chocolate-themed amusement park located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Spanning 110 acres, the park offers over 65 rides and attractions including water rides, 11 roller coasters, and more than 20 kiddie rides. Visitors can also enjoy live shows and dining options within the park. The Boardwalk area provides a nostalgic experience reminiscent of old-fashioned seaside towns with popular water attractions like the Shore wave pool and the Intercoastal Waterway lazy river.
This park is huge! There's definitely something for everyone here. The scare houses / haunted houses in the fall are so intricate and cool! It's definitely worth it to buy a fast pass. The lines can be very lengthy. We wanted to go during a weekday to avoid crowds. But they weren't even open to giving the option. With the amount of people who were there, I think it'd be worth it for them to open for weekdays even in off season! Such a fun time regardless. I definitely didn't get photos of all the cool and diverse things here, I was too preoccupied.
Katie J — Google review
We went on Saturday 10/19/24. The park had some great Halloween activities going on. I recommend getting there early and getting the fast pass. The later you wait, the price for the pass goes up. Average wait time for the rides were over 1 hour (without the pass). They have great rides. We stayed until closing. The Halloween shows were great. Definitely will visit the area again just to go to the theme park.

It was my first time! It was cold as it's winter and is to be expected. That did not stop the kids though, they had an absolute blast! There was a food court and few other places that served mostly fast food. Some of the rides were closed for varied reasons. The zoo was a lovely adventure. There are many different attractions at additional fees, lovely takeaway tokens too. Good for summertime fun!

Hersey park fright night event was an amazing experience for kids and adults in October. We purchased 4 after dark tickets online with general parking and it cost $227.31. There is an online processing fee of 14.95. This fee should be taken away. The point of saving and convenience is buying ahead then you get surprised with a fee. The park doesn’t open until 5pm on a Friday. I think this is the best day to visit. Less crowd and you get to the parking spot earlier before opening to wait in line. The roller coaster was so much fun and not too frightening for kids. The haunted house was scary and all the actors work so hard and did an amazing job trying to scare people. Don’t forget to buy the Hersey chocolate where it’s double in sizes. The clothes in the souvenir shop are decently priced. Overall it’s an amazing and fun experience for kids during Halloween season. Make sure you download Hersey park digital map as it helps you navigate through the park and get estimated wait time on ride.

We've been in PA for over a year and finally got a chance to come here. It was such a great experience. I got to see so many different types of chocolates that I haven't seen. We didn't have enough time to do the tour, so we will do this next time. Even though it was busy for a Saturday, there was enough parking. Long line-ups are to be expected if you want to buy items like milkshakes, etc. Overall the family had a great experience.
Remy R — Google review
Park was enjoyable! We don't ride rides so we solely came for dark nights. It was a Good time to just walk around and see the actors dressed up! And got food passes to try different food and drink items in the park.

Wonderful experience! Went for my 21st birthday and was very pleased with how the weekend went! Here’s a few pros and cons after going a couple of times!Pros: The park is gorgeous and well themed. You can tell a ton of love and care went into every square inch of this place. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the park is damn near spotless. The ride lineup is great as well, with a ton of variety for people of all ages. The amenities are nice. Food is above average, and some of the coasters offer free lockers if there's a hard ban on loose articles.Cons: Ride ops leave a lot to be desired. Even with the fast passes, we only averaged 2 rides per hour due to the insane delays between trains leaving the station. Some coasters were worse than others, but overall it was pretty bad. I truly feel for the folks that didn't blow a couple hundred on the wristbands. Some of the food spots are clustered together in a central location, which is kind of convenient. However, the operations are AWFUL and the lines were unbelievably long. However, this is an easy fix: just find a spot outside of that central area.
Joshua H — Google review
Enter the park about 5 minutes after it opened. Park opens at noon, but it's also open late. It's your standard candy bar theme amusement park! There are a lot of rides for children. Also, a zoo! Longer lines for adults but "chocolate express" pass is avaliable.

Park draws kids & animal lovers for reptiles, petting zoo & safari rides through a 150-acre terrain.
We had a fantastic time. The animals are well taken care of and the enclosures are clean and well maintained. Our guide on the safari tour was awesome! Thanks Todd!! The food and souvenirs were fairly priced. Great date ideas and perfect for families. Just a very nice atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough!

We recently visited Lake Tobias Wildlife Park, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, especially for families with young kids. While we enjoyed our time, I would say there were fewer animals than we expected. It’s not quite the expansive zoo you might find in larger cities, but the animals they do have are well cared for and seem to be in good health, which is important. The safari ride, which is one of the main attractions, was just okay. It’s a fun concept, riding in an open-air vehicle through a large enclosure where animals roam freely, but the variety of animals wasn’t as impressive as we thought it might be. The guide provided some interesting facts, though, which made the ride enjoyable enough.Where Lake Tobias really shines is its petting zoo. This area is fantastic for kids! They can get up close with goats, sheep, and other friendly animals. The interactive element was a big hit with our children, and they loved feeding and petting the animals. The park itself is clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. While it might not be a place we’d visit frequently, it’s certainly a nice day trip for families with young children looking for a low-key outdoor adventure.

Lake Tobias was such an amazing experience!! We took my daughter for her birthday and she had a great time. It's not a huge park but there's so much to see and you could definitely spend all day exploring. The safari was the best part! Our tour guide was great, and we loved seeing all the animals run up to the bus for snackies and petting. Admission was very affordable and will definitely be coming back.

This was the first trip to Lake Tobias for my family and we will definitely be returning again. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The animals all looked and acted like they were being very well taken care of and were happy. ( there was a bear that was looking not so happy he might need a bit of extra attention)The safari ride was amazing. Don't be Intimidated by the long line there are many busses and the wait is worth it. If you have young children get them some snacks at the snack shack at the beginning of the line. Definitely suggest you get a few cups of food to take along because the animals will walk right up to the bus waiting to eat right from your hand.

Truly enjoy this place each time we come! Loved seeing the lions in a much bigger space and all of the fun active animals. Also the sweetest staff ever. Renee was a great tour guide and driver on the safari. And the sweet security/first aid man who tried to help with a splinter in our littlest was caring and beyond kind. (Just so he is aware, we were able to get the splinter out once we got home).

I used to visit here as a child and it was great back then. It has grown and evolved into an amazing, family oriented, fun and exciting place!!! Lake Tobias has so many different kinds of animals and so many opportunities to get close to them! We got to feed Giraffes, all kinds of horned/antlered animals on the safari ride, and even pet snakes and alligators! Truly an amazing experience for all. If you live in PA or any surrounding state, this is a must visit location.

Absolutely loved this place. Plenty of bathrooms for little bladders. So much to see and interact with! You HAVE to do the safari. It's amazing, informative and so fun. Food purchase before hand and it's only $4 to feed them. It's a once in a life time experience and it's absolutely beautiful. The animals are happy and well taken care of unlike other parks I've been to with the kids. Parking is very accommodating. Just make sure you're ready for lots of walking! There is golf carts they have around to accommodate those with disabilities. And food places reasonably priced. Also loved seeing the reptile shows throughout the day! ❤️

Great place to take anyone interested in the military or even history. There’s walking section outside and an indoor museum. When inside, get a set of dog tags from the information desk. It will unlock a more immersive experience. You’ll get to know a real soldier’s experiences. Our group got several different eras. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop. The donated book selection is huge and very inexpensive.Outside has buildings and pieces of equipment from across time.Staff members were really friendly and everything was well maintained. My wife and I home school our children, so we are always looking for field trip ideas to break up the monotony of just being stuck at home every day doing your schooling. We like to get the kids out of the house and still have it counted as a learning experience. We definitely found that at the US Army Heritage and Education Center. The kids learned a little, got hands-on with some of the very detailed exhibits, and even got a little exercise on the mile long Heritage Trail outside the Education Center. There was so much to see and do. It kept us all occupied for hours. The employees that we came in contact with were all great, full of information, and ready to answer any questions with very enthusiastic attitudes. Overall, this place is huge and filled with so much content. I definitely recommend it for families who might be home schooling their children, but honestly for anyone who is looking for something to fill their day and looking to learn a little something as well. Thanks for a great field trip.

The exhibits are very nice. The problem is there are too many exhibits with very loud dialog. One exhibit features the same drill sergeant twice, one yelling orders, and the other one explaining her philosophy about the Army. Both are competing for attention, and neither winning. They just give you a headache. This is throughout the museum. Noise, noise, noise! There are military vehicles all along the grounds outside. It was such a beautiful day that we walked and saw them all. Appalachian Brewing Company has a restaurant at the golf course. Good prices and good food. Nice view too.A nice way to spend the day. Best of all...it's free!

If you or your kids are into army stuff this is a must visit! You can learn so much about different periods of conflict around the globe and the involvement of the US Army. Great gift shop where you can get your own dog tags made. Impressive way to honor our heroes!

My family of 4 loved Gettysburg. My wife and I are in our 30s and have one teenager and one below the age of 10. No matter the age we had an absolutely amazing time. There is a lot to walk and see that just breathtaking. The history that took place there can realized so much more once you see it. The town was also amazing with great shops and places to eat! We really hope we can go back one day.

Gettysburg National Military Park blew us away. The landscape is absolutely beautiful – rolling fields, impressive monuments, and so much history everywhere you look. Walking around, it’s hard not to feel the weight of everything that happened here.We used the Auto Tour on the National Parks app, which made it easy to explore at our own pace and was super convenient. It added just enough background to make each stop even more meaningful. If you’re ever in the area, this is a must-see – it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

The Visitor Center and Park are magnificently preserved. Highly recommend a guided bus tour. They do have audio tours that you can drive through at the park. Keep in mind this is a vast expanse of property with many monuments to see. The Visitor Center was brand new and very well organized and layout engaging displays. The movie experience is well worth the money.

You can get all types of suviniours as well. They have shirts and coffee mugs also magnets. You can tour the museum for a price. There are some items you can see if you don't want to pay the extra for the museum part.

Go! I would go back here every year if I could. We were really blessed to have gotten an extraordinarily intelligent tour guide. For the people that do not know, to pass the tour guide exam for the battlefields is extremely difficult. There's even been many articles written about this. For the sake of this country, our brave soldiers and just the history alone, this is a must-do on everybody's vacation list! Go & emerge yourself in seeing & hearing what it took for freedom!

Gettysburg National Cemetery is a solemn resting place for 3,512 Union soldiers and was dedicated in 1863 with Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. The area offers a glimpse into the challenging conditions faced by soldiers during the Civil War, carrying heavy loads and enduring harsh elements. Visitors can explore the roughly 3-mile Gettysburg Trail, a paved walking trail that connects the Visitor Center to important battlefield locations, offering serene woodland surroundings and welcome shade on hot days.
Another National Park Service outstanding property. Rich in history and scenic beauty, this is a must visit when in the area. Nice paved parking lots on both sides of the property. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

This is a very nice cematary. It's sad to see all tge soldiers killed here. We went on a perfect day with a breeze. The trees are so beautiful as well. Loved walking around here and it's in the perfect spot.

The cemetery is free to visit, and so are the 3 daily guided tours. The history is so moving and it’s easy to get choked up when hearing about everything. I highly recommend the 5:30pm tour followed by Taps at 7pm. (But only if you want to cry.)

I loved seeing the battle field's to sit and think of what happened here. To see our own fighting against our own for a better life for all. Both sides had their reasons. Both sides understood the cost. Now, we live in a world where no one understands the cost of freedom. Now, everyone looks the other way and forgets.I served in 2-2 Infantry for 10 years. A lot of the pictures are of 2-2 Infantry.Dedicated to my fallen brothers.

A great place to visit if you’re interested in United States history. Here you can see the graves of soldiers who fought in Gettysburg as well as the site of Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address.

Our motel was close too here. We walked it ourselves in a self guided tour. Lots of status and plaques too read. So many people died it really gives you more of a perspective on the sacrifices that were made. I couldn't believe all the graves marked unknown. You can easily walk through here in under two hours. So many rabbits were running around and were not even scared of us as we approached. If you have small children they will definitely be bored walking through here. Part of the cemetery was closed and blocked off so we were unable too walk it.

We have been to the Gettysburg Soldiers National Cemetery several times; however, this year we had the opportunity to experience all of the flags on the graves during Memorial Day. Was a great site to see and experience. Full blog post and video on our website.

The experience at Gettysburg was a solemn venture. It is a free self-guide tour, or if you want a more detailed experience, there are available tour guides in the area. Our family choose the self guided exploration of the grounds. It was an honor to walk among the beautiful landscape, immaculate stones, and to see the craftsmanship of the monuments here. There is a bit of walking, so make sure to bring some water or even a snack. The park can be fully explored in few hours. There was a parking lot adjacent to the park that had adequate parking. There is also a museum on the grounds, but it was not open when we visited here. What a great source of American history for the family! A must see if you’re traveling in the area!

Enjoyable 5-10 minute walk up the stairs. My two sons skipped steps, I (50yo female, on current chemo treatment)had to stop 3 times. It was a good leg workout for me. The museum was small but educational, with a nice video. We were able to watch two trains. The entire visit could have taken less than an hour, or... longer if you read more in the museum or had brought lunch for the picnic tables and stayed longer to enjoy the view. There were several photographers. I wish we could have walked above the train track somehow to see a higher view of the horseshoe. I also think it would be wonderful if there was signage in the admission office with approximate train passings each day.

This is an amazing feat of construction to see up close! The beautiful surroundings add to the vista, especially during the fall when we were there. The incline vehicles are not being used to transport anyone up the steep upper face of the mountain, but the two cars were moving up and down, un-occupied, making for some lovely photos! The approx. 190 steps are not easy to climb, but we are both seniors and did it fairly easily, taking it at a moderate pace. There are benches and picnic tables at the top, so plan to spend time there, and you'll get to see several long trains!

Awesome historical railroad place of interest. For all you train enthusiasts, this is the place for you! My cellphone lost battery power after a few pics, so not much to show. The fall is a great time to visit with the beautiful fall foliage. My first visit during winter months. Worth a stop!

Beautiful view from the top. Love watching the trains go by. It's so peaceful. There's also a little museum. You can either take the incline or the stairs.

What an amazing place if you are interested in trains. Beautiful views if you are just tagging along with a rail fan. Approximately 7 picnic tables ( we brought lunch)- and also benches with backs are available. There is also a small pavilion to sit under. At this time time you have to walk 190 steps up to the viewing area. If anyone has noise sensitivity it can get loud from the squealing rail to engines struggling up the grade. My only ding is I wish Norfolk Southern would trim more of the vegetation growing- it obstructs the view of the entire arc of the curve. The main viewing is clear. Even my non train fan wife enjoyed her time up there. 🙂

Pick axes, shovels and a whole lot of muscle can do amazing things! Well worth the trip and a short wait for a train to pass. And yes, there are definitely 194 steps!

We had an exceptionally beautiful autumn day at Horseshoe Curve! What I enjoy the most about going in the fall is that you can see so much more after the leaves have dropped for the season. We counted 98 cars on the eastbound train and 72 on the westbound train. While I couldn't find any information online about train schedules, I find the best time is between noon and 2pm. The museum is very informative with static displays, topographical models, and a video room with 3 videos describing the history of the area. The gift shop has a nice selection of shirts and small gifts as well. If you're into trains, this is definitely a bucket list day trip!

We had a great time digging and learning about the curve. The weather was really nice and we could hear the train coming for a while. If you like trains or Americana I recommend a visit to the Horseshoe Curve. The steps are steep and plenty so make sure you have good shoes.

Flight 93 National Memorial
Memorial park
Sights & Landmarks
Site of United Airlines Flight 93's September 11, 2001 crash is now a memorial with a Wall of Names.
What a sacred place to visit. The park is about 25 minutes from the turnpike but is easy to get to. It isn't well marked, so a map or GPS is a must. Once into the park, you come to Tower of Voices. There was plenty of parking (handicapped and large vehicles). It was level and had a wide sidewalk, ample room for wheelchair or walkers. Getting up to the Tower, it is packed gravel with an incline (it's not terrible steep but would take a little effort to push a wheelchair). 3 miles from the Tower is the visitor center, and the crash site with wall.of names. The crash site has ample parking and level with the sidewalk (there is an overflow lot that is packed gravel). There is a small visitor center with multiple signs explaining each stage of September 11 and Flight 93. From the visitor center to the wall of names is about .2 mile. The sidewalk is very wide with plenty of benches to sit and reflect and look out at the crash site. There are multiple rangers on site to answer questions, also a seated area where a ranger gave an account of Flight 93.

The experience is a must. The visitor center is packed with information, the monument is awe-striking, the plaza is so unique and the tower of voices completes the day. I’d like to mention how amazing the rangers are (thank you Bill), as they are available to answer questions, provide guidance and information and are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Incredibly thoughtful and touching. They've done an amazing job with the space. The Tower of Voices is powerful. Winds have to be 10-15mph to hear the chimes, but it's still amazing just to be present there. You can also scan the QR code they provide and listen to the chimes on the website while you're there and/or at home. I listened while there and that did it for me...

This was the first time my wife and I visited this memorial. The National Parks did a beautiful job memorializing the forty souls who heroically lost their lives to prevent the loss of lives of countless others. To hear the messages left for the loved ones from three of the members of the flight were gut-wrenching. It is amazing how investigators and architects were able to reconstruct the flight path of the aircraft as it flew over the field and eventually crashed into it.This memorial was tastefully created and put together. There is a beautiful visitors center with audio and video of the events of 9/11.This is a a must see memorial for all Americans. My wife and I have also been to the WTC memorial in NYC. Also, a must-see.As Americans, may we never forget the events of that horrible day..

Sobering as as well honoring. Worth the extra effort if you are thinking about whether you should come or not. It is a place of reflection on those that sacrificed, but to also self reflect on what life means for you. And to find a faithful path when it's hard to see forward.

Beautiful memorial. I visited in 2001 when the site was still raw. What a beautiful area to visit and learn more about the events that took place on 9/11.

In a word, powerful. The National Park System has done a fantastic job. It's excellent how they educate people and pay tribute to those heroes who were lost. The design of the memorial is genius as everything plays a part in telling the story and the layout/design is based on the ightpath!

You can just feel it all…On our family summer road trip, we took a day and checked out the most recent additions to the Flight 93 Memorial. We have been here a few times over the years and each time it is different. Our first stop was the Tower of Voices. We have been over to the Flight 93 Memorial a couple of times, but both times we came this was not here so this is new to all of us. The purpose of the Tower of Voices is that it is a landmark feature near the memorial entrance visible from the Lincoln Highway. It provides a living memorial in sound to honor the 40 passengers and crewmembers of United flight 93 who died on September 11, 2001 when the plane crashed nearby. The tower is 93 feet tall and has 40 chimes each representing a person, that plays different tones when the wind blows. It was very quiet here as we took it all in. Extremely tall as you can see per the pictures with the kids, standing under it. The day we were here, the wind was just barely blowing so we really couldn’t hear anything, but you can actually view it 24/7 by scanning the board on site.Next, we visited the Flight 93 Memorial Museum and crash site. The first time we had ever visited the Flight 93 Memorial was around 10 years after it had happened. There was a makeshift museum set up that had a lot of items that were left at the memorial. Down by the crash site, there was a zigzag fence that still had quite a bit going on investigation wise, debris and such, up to where the boulder had been placed. The second time we went, they had made the wall along the path of the debris in place of the fence. This time, they have created a huge museum with a lot of really significant, but sad items, audio and visual items as well. You are not allowed to take photos inside, so I do not have many in there, but I did take some down by the actual property on this visit as well. I love the overlook. It gives you a Birdseye view of the entire property to really see where each account happened as it went that day, including looking up on the hill and seeing the red barn that is famously in all of the photos. It was an informative visit for the kids and nice to see how much it has built up since our last visit. 🇺🇸I will say that there’s a very somber feeling when you are down by the crash site. It is very quiet and really takes you back to that day, from the wall that you walk beside that followed the debris to the marble wall of names that goes down the flight path to the crash site where lives were lost. Please be respectful when coming here.Hours are 9 to 5 every day and it is free to visit.*Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot .Hiking for adults and kid friendly. Dogs are welcome.

The Johnstown Inclined Plane, located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is a 19th-century funicular that offers scenic panoramas and serves as a significant tourist attraction. It is listed on the Register of Historic Places and recognized as a Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark. The site features a visitor center with detailed information about local attractions and showcases the city's history through pictures and 3D models.
I had an awesome day in Johnstown. The Incline was a stop while on an autumn trip around Southwestern PA. It's a slow ride up and down the hill so you can take pictures and enjoy looking out over the city. There is a nice flat park at the top of the hill with a large American flag. The city and the incline are worth visiting if you are in the area.

Historic, beautiful and uncommon would be a few words to describe this local gem. The staff is also notably friendly , knowledgeable and courteous. The views from the top are stunning. There are also a nice gift shop and evening restaurant at the summit.

Riding the plane is rather inexpensive. They run roughly every 15 minutes, although I wish hours of operation started earlier.Mountain bike trails are easily accessed from the top, ride bikes down and ride the plane back up.The bottom, however, requires you to carry your bike up through a very narrow passage and stairwell. If you are running bars over 700s, it's very tight, and difficult for children. I had to carry my bike up, then go back and carry my sons bike up.The trails are pretty technical and I wouldn't advise a novice, especially a novice child, ride them. The trails require ability to control your descent and handle tight turns. The lower section of trail is mich easier for a beginner.

Very cool experience with great views of the town below. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Finding the right place to park at the bottom is a bit of a challenge but certainly worth taking the time to do.

Don't fear it, it's really not a bad ride!Although this incline is steeper than the ones in Pittsburgh, it's a much smoother ride. I generally have weak knees if I'm even three stories high somewhere, but I was stepping out of my comfort zone to ride it and it wasn't bad at all! It was a very smooth ride and it even still transports vehicles both ways. I wish we'd have started at the bottom and put the car on to get to the top. The platform outside is a great view and from inside the gift shop you can see the mechanics of it (as pictured here).

This place is awesome and a must see, worth a day trip (but make sure it's during the open season). I live in Pittsburgh, a few blocks from the Duquesne Incline, which I ride often, and this one in Johnstown is a gem! It was closed when I visited and I absolutely will return when it's open. So, a little known day trip you can take, from Pittsburgh to Altoona, will allow you to see 5 inclines, 4 of which you can ride. The Duquesne and Monongahela inclines in Pittsburgh, Johnstown inclined plane, Allegheny Portage Railroad, then the mini incline at the Altoona Curve. Enjoy 😉.
Greg K — Google review
The inclined plane is under construction so you currently can't ride it or get to the viewing balcony. I think you can possibly go into the restaurant at 4pm and after for a view of Johnstown.

We love Idlewild! It is such a great park, and we have made so many fun memories there! For our family, the season passes; they are so worth it! You can go as often as you want in the summer and fall with most of the passes. Their payment plan system they have is great and can make it more affordable for families. Another little thing I wanted to mention. Sometimes we have people in our group that need a wheelchair, and I noticed this year they are offering mobility scooter rentals now, which is great!

Had a great time at Idlewild & SoakZone with the family! This classic Pennsylvania amusement park really delivers on its promise of being great for families with younger kids. The mix of traditional rides and water attractions makes it easy to spend a full day here, especially during summer.Highlights:- Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood area is absolutely perfect for toddlers- SoakZone was refreshing and well-maintained- Staff were friendly and attentive- Beautiful, shaded park setting with lots of mature trees- Good variety of food options (loved the Turkey leg)Pro tips: Arrive early to beat the crowds, bring water shoes for SoakZoneOverall, while it's not the biggest or most thrilling park out there, Idlewild offers solid family entertainment and good value for the price. Perfect for families with kids under 12

So much fun we picked up a season pass. It’s the perfect theme park for all ages, but mainly for children. Daniel Tiger has his own section and trolley ride. There is a storybook Forest plus historical locomotive that will drop you off at the front or back of the park. Definitely has a G/PG rated Kennywood vibe with mini sand castle attached. Rent a cabana if you want privacy and a place to escape by the water.

We visited the Sunday before Memorial Day. Was busy, but not overwhelming. This was my 3rd trip, 2nd bringing my own children. It’s a family tradition and close to home for us. Never disappoints. A great time for the whole family. Also the characters in the forest were incredible!!
Sarah E — Google review
My family and I absolutely love coming to this park because of its history. Three generations coming here as kids so it will always have a special place in our hearts. So we truly appreciate the updates they are starting to make in storybook forest and hope to see more to come! The dressed up characters really make it as well. The waterpark, however, was less desirable. All areas had very cold water, even for a high 80’s hot day, and felt very unclean, especially the bathrooms. All food stands throughout all areas of park were understaffed or closed where that could use improvements as well. Also the main last complaint that truly upset us was the fact that they took away some of the most memorable and special rides and attractions that were unique to their park compared to others (the pond boats, toddler bumper cars, crank ride, sack slide). We truly are hoping they will return them after repairs but it does not look like that is the plan unfortunately. We went on a Saturday at the end of August and it was very busy where we did not get to everything we had hoped to ride in park. Overall, had a wonderful time and hope to come back soon!
Patience M — Google review
We have been visiting this park since the 1990's. First with our own kids and yesterday with grandchildren. I love the updates done to storybook forest and the characters were the best we have ever experienced. We would have loved to have been able to tour storybook forest at 9AM like we did with our own children as this makes getting through the park easier. We like that the parking lots make packing a picnic lunch an option and convenient. We were going to eat dinner at the park before leaving, but the food was outrageously expensive so we left the park and went to McDonald's drive through. We thought the park was very clean and we noticed significant updates and painting repairs since our visit 2 years ago. Nicely done! One issue we had that caused significant frustration was that bathrooms were very difficult to locate on the map and were not well marked in the park. The maps are to small to actually read details like restrooms. We were disappointed that the park closed at 7pm which we did know about before arriving but it makes it impossible to do everything in a single day. We live 3 hours away in Ohio and used to arrive at the park at 9Am and leave at 10PM.Yesterday we realized that there was no way to do the water park and Old Idlewild amusement rides so we gave the kids a choice. They picked the rides therefore for the first time ever we did not use the water park. We live close to multiple water parks but it was still disappointing. With the exception of hours and restroom issues, we love this park and will return.

My family and I were there this Saturday. We had a awesome time. We unfortunately lost our car keys As the park closed. The park staff went above and beyond to help us find them. Everyone was a big help from helping us look for them to opening up rides to check seats. Security stayed with us while we waited for our ride home, and drove us to the gate. They were found this morning at the gift shop!!!!! We Again wanted to thank everyone from the security guard that brought our children food to the workers that stayed with us through closing. We're extremely grateful. See you all again soon!!!!

Fallingwater
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Fallingwater, a residential masterpiece designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, has been designated as a landmark and is now open for public tours. Located around an hour and a half southeast of Pittsburgh, the house is made of stone, concrete and glass which blend together seamlessly. The space exudes grandeur with its breathtaking history that dates back to the 1930s. The visitor center before entering the house showcases simplicity and complexity at their finest, with the foundation being praised for maintaining its original charm.
What a gen! We've visited this site multiple times and r the last with our 4 year old toddler. I don't think she would have had the attention span to actually enjoy the indoor tour but we did solo on prior visits. The grounds are beautiful to walk around. There is a small trail that is an in and out that was easy to do. There is plenty of parking. The only downfall is the limited food options as the cafe was half closed during our last visit. They do have a nice shop for souvenirs and locally made goods. Definitely a must visit for art/ architecture / nature lovers.

Although I’m not a huge fan of his architecture, it is fantastic how Frank Lloyd Wright incorporates nature into the design of this house. It wasn’t too crowded and they moved up our tour time so we didn’t have to sit around for an extra hour. The tour guide was very passionate about the house and extremely knowledgeable regarding the history related to it.

Visiting Fallingwater was a wonderful experience! This remarkable place is truly worthy of seeing, and I’m thrilled to see the ongoing restoration efforts preserving its beauty. I can’t wait to return in the summer once the restoration is complete. The café offered delicious treats, and the gift shop was impressively stocked with a wide variety of items. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This place was so cool, it actually gave me so much inspiration of architectural designs. This review is a few years late. Learned so much about the architect and visited some more of his sights/designs. Walking around this area is very nice/refreshing. This house has such a strong structure, and pictures do not do it justice, especially how big it really is.My friend cover the fee, not sure how muchThere was a good amount of parking as well.Note: There is little to no wifi in this areaNote 2: Can get pretty packed with touristNote 3: There are restroom and a small cafe to buy some food.

We did the first In-depth guided tour available - recommended if you want to take pictures of the house interior.. with a smaller group.. and the earlier in the day the better - with as few people as possible..!The visitor center has WiFi, a cafe, and coffee, too.

Low rating is not for the actual site. It’s for the tour offering.Don’t visit for Dec 2024 to June 2025. The building is completely covered in scaffolding, which ruins the entire visit. In its current state, tours should not even be offered. Definitely not worth the time or money to see scaffolding instead of the actual site.

You can learn tons of great Frank Lloyd Wright facts because the more questions you ask the more you will find out. That's how are tour guide worked and it was cool. You can't take pictures in most of the house but I got everything I could, even a couple through the windows of rooms your not supposed to. Would definitely recommend a tour here, this place still amazes to this day and cannot imagine what it was like 90 years ago.

Incredibly gorgeous park. Water features are incredible, trails seem well maintained, and coming here while things were still frozen over made it feel magical. Also, the trail we walked took us through the town portion of Ohiopyle which was also very cute and had public restrooms and water fountains if you needed a break. Super pleasant, shorter hike!

This is our favorite State Park we've visited in Pennsylvania... a truly special place if you love waterfalls and being out in nature! The visitors center is out of this world with educational activities downstairs and tons of learning opportunity! The views of the falls just from the visitor center and main parking lot are amazing! We loved the few trails we have hiked here but really enjoyed the Cucumber Falls Trail! The natural watersides are really cool and looks like a lot of fun too but definitely the wrong season for that right now. If you have time visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Fallingwater property about 2 miles away... so worth it to do the house tour! Ohiopyle is such an amazing place to spend the day out exploring in nature! We love it so much that we've been sure to visit a couple times while exploring up North from Texas especially for the educational activities as part of the kids roadschooling... they absolutely love it here!

I came to Ohiopyle in the Fall, and loved my time at the park. The water, the trees, and the overall scenery were all really pretty. I walked up the Baughman trail to the overlook and thought it was a great view, nothing super special, but pretty nevertheless. I also took some time to walk on the Great Allegheny Passage and walk through the Ferncliff Natural Area. I recommend everyone from Pennsylvania or anyone in the area to check out the park at least one during the fall season.

The biggest and most stunning of the state parks in Pennsylvania. Very stunning scenery but if you aren't used to walking off road be carful here.

We absolutely loved it here! Very clean and quiet park. Our highlight was Cucumber Falls. We chose to hike to the fall from the visitor center. beautiful, easy, short hike along the River. The waterfall is gorgeous and so is the area surrounding it. The kids splashed around at the base to cool off. Ae also enjoyed the natural water slides. Some cute shops and places to eat in their downtown area. We will definitely be going back.

Such a beautiful state park. While I was there in the off-season, everything was still so relaxing. I got an Air B&B, the hiking is great and the history lessons are interactive. There's a casino about five miles down the road if you'd enjoy trying your luck!
